Wahlberg & Hirsch on Their True 'Survivor' Story

Published
Both Mark Wahlberg and Emile Hirsch have starred in true life stories before (The Fighter and Into The Wild, respectively) but in ETonline's exclusive clip from their recent Q&A for The Los Angeles Times' The Envelope Screening Series, in association with EPIX, for Lone Survivor, each admit there's a unique sense of pressure bringing these soldiers' story to life.
Based on the failed June 28, 2005 mission "Operation Red Wings," the film follows four members of SEAL Team 10 on their mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd.
Watch as Hirsch explains how he went about creating an accurate portrait of his big screen soldier, and Wahlberg reveals how an on-going friendship with Marcus Luttrell continues to inform his opinion of the movie.
