"The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!" Two of Danny Kaye's most memorable classics are now available in a double-disc set! The 1956 musical comedy The Court Jester casts Kaye as a carnival performer in medieval England who impersonates a fool to aid in the ousting of a usurping tyrant. Angela Lansbury and Basil Rathbone co-star. 1959's The Five Pennies reteams Kaye with the legendary Louis
Armstrong in a biopic, based on the roller-coaster life of Jazz hornblower Red Nichols, whose beloved daughter is stricken with polio and he must curtail his Dixieland dreams, only to make an astonishing comeback with the help of his friends. Barbara Bel Geddes, Susan Gordon and Tuesday Weld co-star.
The Danny Kaye Double Feature is manufactured On Demand and can only be ordered at www.WarnerArchive.com or www.WBShop.com.
