Johnny Knoxville spun his outrageous "Irving Zisman" character into box-office gold with Bad Grandpa, and with today's announcement that the film has been nominated for a Best Makeup and Hairstyling Academy Award, we're going behind the scenes to see how they pulled off that wild, very convincing transformation. Watch the video and share...
"What an honor that Stephen Prouty got nominated for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa," says Knoxville. "Am I as stunned as everyone else we didn't get the nod for Best Picture? Well of course, duh, but I won't let that take away from my happiness for Steve, Tony Gardner, and our whole makeup team. Wahoo!"
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa is a cross-country tale captured on hidden cameras that pairs Knoxville with his pint-sized, Fun Size co-star Jackson Nicoll as his 8-year-old grandson and unlikely companion, Billy. As Irving introduces the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and wild situations -- male strippers, a child beauty pageant, a funeral home service and a biker bar to name a few -- cameras capture the reactions of real people who just can't believe what they've just seen.
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack on January 28 with an Unrated Cut crammed full of even more outrageous footage, along with the theatrical version of the film, UltraViolet or a digital copy and also over an hour of behind-the-scenes antics, deleted scenes and alternate reactions from real people. The film will also be available as a single-disc DVD.
