Jason Bateman Goes 'Bad' For Directorial Debut

Jason Bateman makes his directorial debut in the upcoming comedy Bad Words, and we have the new trailer!

Bateman stars in the film as Guy Trilby, an adult man who competes in the National Quill Spelling Bee due to a loophole. The rulebook states that contestants must not have graduated the eighth grade, which, at 40 years old, Trilby still hasn't.

Along the way, Trilby forms a friendship with an awkward 10-year-old named Chaitanya (played by Homeland's Rohan Chand).

The movie also stars Alison Janney, Kathryn Hahn and Phillip Baker Hall.

Bad Words opens nationwide on March 28.
