With the action-comedy Vampire Academy set to hit theaters this Friday, the stars came out to Hollywood to discuss the film, which is being propelled by a huge fan base familiar with Richelle Mead's bestselling book series the movie is based on.

"It's one of the best feelings in the world because they are one of the reasons that this film was made," said Sarah Hyland, who portrays Natalie.

Vampire Academy follows Rose Hathaway (played by Zoey) and Lissa Dragomir (played by Lucy Fry), two 17-year-old girls who attend St.Vladamirs Academy, a secret boarding school for mortal, peaceful Vampires, also known as Moroi, and Dhampirs, who are half-vampire/half-human guardians. After being captured on the run, Rose and Lissa are thrust back into the perils of Moroi Society -- and even worse, high school -- as the deadly Strigoi (immortal, evil vampires) threaten their sanctuary.

"If they're fans of the book, they can expect a very accurate portrayal, but also that has a lot of twists and turns that maybe they wouldn't expect so much," revealed Dominic Sherwood (Christian Ozera). "They'll know when they see the movie what I'm talking about."
