"Take it slow," suggests musician John Legend. "If you're lucky, you'll find somebody that you really care about, that you want to commit to, and you make it happen."

Michael Ealy, who stars alongside Hart in About Last Night in one of the film's two focal relationships, said, "Keep it honest. As long as that communication is open and truthful, they will respect you. It might not always be what they wanted to hear, but they will respect you for it."

Joy Bryant, who plays opposite Ealy in the film, agrees about the importance of openness.

"Communication. Always communicate no matter what. Even if you think it's going to suck… just communication," Bryant offered.

For most of the stars, honesty was the relationship top tip. Regina Hall, who stars in About Last Night as Hart's main love interest, advocates honesty, as well as staying out of other peoples' relationships and cleanliness.

As for the man of the evening, Kevin Hart, his suggestion was a little more direct.

"My best relationship advice is to know how to knock your baby's back loose!" Hart said while laughing, and getting Brooke Anderson to crack up. However, he added, "At the end of the day, I'm silly. But that's my best relationship advice. The best way to a woman's heart is through laughter. Make your lady laugh."
