Harold Ramis sadly passed away on February 24 at the age of 69, and we're remembering the intelligent and articulate writer-director-comedian with vintage footage from the set of Ghostbusters II back in 1989, in which Harold talked about his conversational camaraderie with co-stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and director Ivan Reitman; what he would do as a back-up plan -- and gets slimed for a scene in the movie!
ET Flashback: The 'Ghostbusters' Premiere
Ramis died in Chicago early Monday morning surrounded by family members, his wife Erica Mann Ramis told the Chicago Tribune. She said he died from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels. He is survived by his wife Erica, their two sons, Julian and Daniel, as well as a daughter from his first marriage to Anne Plotkin, Violet Ramis.
