By

Kermit the Frog and the entire Muppets gang are back and embarking on a new adventure in Muppets Most Wanted, in theaters March 21. In the flick, the beloved frog finds himself in the slammer after being framed by a European jewel-heist caper, who also happens to be his look-a-like.

But, aside from Kermit landing in the big house, ET is breaking down 5 fun facts you should know about Kermit the Frog.

At number five: he made his television debut on Sam and Friends with his creator Jim Henson providing the voice.

Number four: though Kermit is nearly 60 years old, he doesn’t consider himself that old at all. “Frog years are a little different,” he told ET. “I’m actually only, maybe in my 30s in the frog world you see.”

Number three: his voice has changed over the years. Jim Henson voiced the character until Steve Whitmire took over the role in 1990 after the Muppets creator died.
