Hollywood superstar Robert De Niro and Hollywood power producer Jane Rosenthal were two of the founding creators of the celebrated Tribeca Film Festival in 2002, and since then the festival has grown by leaps and bounds, and is now one of the biggest movie fests in the country.
ET was able to sit down with De Niro and Rosenthal to talk about how the festival has evolved, and what makes it different from other American film festivals.
For one thing, it's a festival that celebrates the people of the Tribeca community, which is why the opening night celebration isn't a red carpet, black tie affair, but a huge community party with a special live performance by music legend Sir Elton John.
Check out the video for more from De Niro and Rosenthal about the festival, which starts Thursday, April 17th.
