It's been 21 years since Robin Williams dressed up as the lovable 'Mrs. Doubtfire,' and now she's returning to the big screen.
The most popular dad-turned-nanny comedy to hit the big screen is returning for a second movie.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire has a sequel in the works with the first film's star Robin Williams attached to the comedy. Elf writer David Berenbaum is penning the script while Chris Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire, Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) is in line to direct.

As you may remember, the first movie, starring Williams, Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan, follows a father (Williams) who, after a bitter divorce, disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend time with his children held in custody by his former wife (Field). The movie made "$219 million domestically and $222 million internationally."
While Williams and Columbus seem to be on board with the sequel, not all the stars are as supportive. Mara Wilson, who plays Williams' daughter Natalie Hillard in the original movie, went on a Twitter rant against making a second film.
There are many, many reasons I don't want to be in Mrs. Doubtfire 2. But they haven't even asked me (yet), so no need to worry.
