Adam Levine takes on his first big-screen role, while Keira Knightley sings and strums on-camera... Sounds like the perfect recipe for Begin Again, in theaters this summer, and the stars reveal that despite their immense talent, there were still plenty of jitters!
"I never had the hankering to be an actor, and I don't even consider myself one still," says Adam, "but this was just one of those surprises that I followed, and it turned out to be one of the most fun, amazing experiences I ever had in my life."
Despite telling Keira that he was "really frightened" by his first acting gig, she lauded, "He's a natural entertainer, and acting is part of that, and he was totally brilliant at it, and so he certainly had nothing to worry about."
The new film from writer-director John Carney (Once), Begin Again follows talented college sweethearts Gretta (Knightley) and Dave (Levine), who are put to the test when they move to New York after Dave lands a deal with a major label. Soon, Gretta is forced to set out on her own path, finding solace in a disgraced record-label exec (Mark Ruffalo) who becomes captivated by her raw talent. Hailee Steinfeld, James Corden, Catherine Keener and Adam's The Voice pal Ceelo Green co-star.
Begin Again plays into theaters July 4.
