Samantha Morton plays the title character of Decoding Annie Parker, whose happy life is disrupted by her discovery of a lump in her breast which turns out to be deadly carcinoma -- a fate her mother and sister succumbed to. At the same time, geneticist Mary-Claire King is working hard to prove that there is a link between DNA and cancer. Together, the two remarkable women defy the odds with humor, determination and grace and wage a 15-year battle against the cruel and insidious illness.
