The official title of director Zack Snyder's Man of Steel follow-up has been revealed: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Read on for the super details!
Last week, Snyder released the first photo of Ben Affleck as Batman alongside his new Batmobile. The helmer had teased that he would just unveil the Caped Crusader's iconic ride, showing it partially covered by a tarp just the day before. Posting the new photo of Batman on Twitter, the director simply wrote, "I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom. #Batman #Batmobile #Gotham." Now, we're all waiting on a reveal of Henry Cavill as Superman, face-to-face with Ben's Bruce Wayne/Batman.
As expected, the new title clearly paves the way for the first Justice League movie, with Snyder officially confirmed to direct. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the movie. Man of Steel stars Amy Adams (as Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (as Perry White) and Diane Lane (as Martha Kent).
The film is shooting on location at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Michigan; Illinois; Africa; and the South Pacific.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to fly into theaters in May 6, 2016.
