Who doesn't love a good movie on Memorial Day?
As America remembers its fallen men and women in the armed services, ET is looking back at some of Hollywood's best war movies of all time.
Charlie Sheen, Forest Whitaker, and Willem Dafoe all gave incredible performances in the 1986 film Platoon. The Oliver Stone directed film was a box office hit that also took home four Academy Awards including Best Picture.
Just a few short years later, Oliver Stone directed another successful film, Born on the Fourth of July, starring Tom Cruise. The film was nominated for eight Oscars and took home two.
