Lessons Shailene Woodley Took from 'Fault In Our Stars'

Shailene Woodley returned to the big screen this weekend in the highly anticipated movie The Fault in Our Stars, and she dished on how the role changed her outlook on life.

"I'm going to take away that nothing's guaranteed and life is unfair and there's no way to justify anything," Woodley said at a fan event on Thursday celebrating the film's premiere. "Worry is a product of the future you can't guarantee and guilt is a product of the past we can't change, and all we have is moments. It doesn't matter how long or how short those moments are, but what you do in those moments, and it's how you're aware of those moments that really count."

In the movie, based on the bestselling book, Shailene plays Hazel and Ansel Elgort plays Gus, two extraordinary teens who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.

If Shailene is right, this film might be the best date movie of the year. Watch the video to find out why. The Fault in Our Stars is out now.
