Jane Fonda was honored with one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry Thursday night, joining the ranks of greats like Al Pacino, Elizabeth Taylor, and her father Henry Ford. The 76-year-old was presented with the 42nd AFI Lifetime Achievement Award.
To highlight a few of the best things about the actress, ET is breaking down the Top 5 things you should know about the star.
At number five, turns out this isn't her first time attending the awards. She told us at the event she’s actually been there quite a few times.
"I presented the AFI Award to Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, and my dad," she said. "And the fact that I’m now a recipient is beyond my wildest dreams."
Coming in at number four, she took a 14-year break from acting between 1991 and 2005, only to come back stronger and better than ever in Monster-in-Law.
Number three, her very first workout video was incredibly successful. According to her blog the 1982 fitness vid sold more than 17 million copies and was inducted into the Video Hall of Fame, making her the first non-engineer to receive the honor.
Check out this video to see what came in at number one and number two on the list!
