Sherri Shepherd On Tracy Morgan: 'I'm Praying For My TV Husband'

The comedian talks about her former '30 Rock' co-stars tragic accident.

Comedian and actress Sherri Shepherd was a special guest at the Samsung Hope For Children gala in New York City, and before the event began, she stopped to talk to ET about her divorce, Barbara Walters, and Tracy Morgan.

Shepherd, a co-host on The View and recurring guest star on the acclaimed NBC sitcom 30 Rock, talked to ET about actor Tracy Morgan's tragic accident, saying, "It's just going to be a long road for Tracy, so we're praying for him. I'm praying for my TV husband."

Shepherd played Angie Jordan, wife of Morgan's character Tracy Jordan, on 30 Rock. Shepherd even told ET about the first time she met Morgan on set.

"When I first joined 30 Rock, they said I was going to play Tracy Morgan's wife… And I don't play wives. I play best friends or a judge, and I thought Tracy would want someone really beautiful," Shepherd recalled. "He took one look at me and he said, 'You a big girl! We're gonna have fun!' And I was like, 'Thank you Tracy!'"
