Throwback Thursday: Channing Tatum Talks Love On Set in 2006

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are heading back to the box office this Friday in 22 Jump Street.

So in honor of Throwback Thursday, ET is turning back the calendar to the year 2006, when we first interviewed the then 25-year-old about his film She's the Man.

In the flick, the hunky actor played Duke, co-starring alongside Amanda Bynes. While he'd had smaller parts in flicks like Coach Carter and Supercross, She's the Man was his big breakout role and he wasn't about to do anything to mess it up -- especially when it came to falling for someone on set.

"We all kind of fell in love with each other on a level," he told ET, talking about how well the cast got along. "It's professional. You can't really do anything on a set, even -- whoever would have had feelings for each other -- because it's really kind of dangerous for the film."

But, that theory didn't last too long. The star met and fell in love with his now-wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum while filming Step Up that same year.

The 34-year-old has gone on to do some very memorable movies since we first met him eight years ago. Starring in everything from Magic Mike, to White House Down, to The Vow, he's played a multitude of different characters. This Friday he's reprising his 21 Jump Street role as Jenko for the highly anticipated sequel 22 Jump Street!
