Disney animated classics have such a special place in our hearts that it's easy to forget that the voices behind the characters often belong to some really big stars. Take a look at some of the voices you may have forgotten were behind your Disney favorites.

1. Mel Gibson (Pocahontas, 1995)
Okay, you probably knew this one, but it's still pretty cool! Especially since this was Mel's first role to feature his singing voice. Who knew he could sing?

2. Christian Bale (Pocahontas, 1995)
Pretty surprising! But yes, Christian Bale was in fact a voice in Pocahontas. He played John Smith's buddy (and horrible shot) Thomas.

3. Demi Moore (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 1996)
Yep! Demi Moore's raspy voice is quite iconic, and she worked it as gypsy Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

4. Jonathan Taylor Thomas (The Lion King, 1994)
An adorable 13-year-old Johnathan Taylor Thomas was the voice of young Simba in The Lion King.

5.  Matthew Broderick (The Lion King, 1994)
Does this one surprise you? Ferris Bueller himself was the voice of Adult Simba. (You must watch the video to see the goatee he was rocking!)

6. Glenn Close (Tarzan, 1999)
Glenn Close was the voice of Tarzan’s adoptive mother Kala. But this actually wasn’t Glenn’s first run-in with Tarzan. Back in 1984, Glenn Close dubbed her voice over the Southern twang of Andie Macdowell in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes.

7.  Corey Feldman (Fox and the Hound, 1981)
That's right! A 10-year-old Corey Feldman provided the voice of young Copper in The Fox and the Hound.

8.  Kurt Russell (Fox and the Hound, 1981)
This one is pretty surprising as well, especially considering the minimal amount of lines he had in the film. But yes, Kurt Russell was the voice of Adult Copper.
