Stephen Colbert Rocks Full 'Hobbit' Costume To Host Comic-Con Panel

The 'Colbert Report' host donned the outfit he wore in his 'Hobbit' cameo.

It's no secret to fans of that The Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert is a die-hard J.R.R. Tolkien fan, with an encyclopedic knowledge of his work and a dedicated love for the worlds he built.

Colbert is such a fan that director Peter Jackson even cast him in a cameo role in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug as a Lake-town spy, the costume for which Colbert wore, in full, when he hosted the Comic-Con panel discussing the upcoming Hobbit film on Saturday.

Colbert introduced the panel discussion with a long speech about his love of Tolkien's work, and his joy of being involved in the film franchise.

Colbert is reported to also have a brief cameo in the upcoming installment of The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies.
