Should Jamie Dornan be practicing his acceptance speech?

Is the highly anticipated film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey Oscar-worthy?

According to its screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who had the task of adapting the erotic E.L. James book for the big-screen, there's no question when it comes to Jamie Dornan's performance as billionaire Christian Grey.

"Apparently Jamie is great at being soft and hard at the same time," Marcel, 40, said at a chat with author Reza Aslan in Hollywood, Calif. on Wednesday, August 6, for the latest installment of her "An Evening in the Writer's Room" series.

Just how impressive is Jamie, 32, in the role?

"He's going to get an Oscar!" she exclaimed.

As for more clues on what key scenes/dialogue from the book are going to be in the film, Marcel references a "popsicle line" that makes the cut.

"She [Anastasia Steele] says that, 'You are my popsicle.' That line went in, it's genius," she spills. "They apparently did that scene great."
