Katniss and Peeta will now be competing in 'The Hunger Games' live.

Just like in the books, Katniss and Peeta will now be competing in The Hunger Games live, and before the public.

Lionsgate announced on Friday that the wildly popular book-turned-movie will now be turned into a theatrical performance, that will debut in the summer of 2016 in a brand-new theater next to Wembley Stadium in London, England.

The play promises to have "state-of-the-art techonology" that is to offer an "uniquely immersive experience for fans around the world," according to Lionsgate Chief Marketing Officer Tim Palen.

This news couldn't come at a better time. The third installment of the film franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, hits theaters Nov. 21 and Lorde just released her music video for "Yellow Flicker Beat", a track featured on the movie's soundtrack.

This isn't the first popular film series to be brought to the stage. Both Twilight and Harry Potter also had runs as stage shows.
