James Bond will soon be seducing someone his own age.
Monica Bellucci, 50, is the oldest Bond love interest in the franchise's history, and is four years older than her sexy co-star, 46-year-old Daniel Craig. The Italian actress admitted to The Sunday Timesthat she was shocked when director Sam Mendes called to tell her she landed the highly coveted role in Spectre. "My first thought was, 'How can I be a Bond girl at 50?'" she recalled. "I just blurted out, 'I'm not a girl, I'm a woman, I'm a mature woman. Do I have to replace Judi Dench?'"

"I told Sam he would be a hero among women for casting me in Spectre," Bellucci quipped. "For the first time in history,James Bond is going to have a story with a mature woman."
Before Bellucci, the oldest Bond girl was Honor Blackman who portrayed Pussy Galore in the 1964 film Goldfinger when she was 39. Other women to land the role of 007's love interest include Halle Berry at 36, Jane Seymour at 22, Rosamund Pike at 23 and Ursula Andress at 26 and 31.

"There is this thing in America where actresses reach 40 and go mad. The film industry wants all these young people," Bellucci says, adding that she's confident in her new role. "True sexiness is in the mind, the imagination -- not in the age of the body."
Spectre will hit theaters Nov. 6, 2015.
