'Little Women' Remake in the Works!

Over  20 years after Winona Ryder, Claire Danes and Kirsten Dunst made us sob in the 1994 drama Little Women, the classic tale is returning to the big screen once again.


Former Sony executive Amy Pascal
will produce the remake for Sony Pictures, while Oscar nominated screenwriter Sarah Polley will adapt Louisa May Alcott's novel,TheWrap confirms.

The beloved story follows the March sisters as they live and grow up in a post-Civil War America.

Currently, the new Little Women movie will be an all-female undertaking. In addition to Polley adapting the female writer's work, Pascal will produce with Denise Di Novi and Robin Swicord.

Little Women
seems to be revived as a movie every few decades. Prior to the 1994 film, Katherine Hepburn starred in a version of Little Women in 1933, and Elizabeth Taylor did also in 1949.
