Emilia Clarke may have gotten naked for her role as Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, on HBO's Game of Thrones, -- but that doesn’t mean she's interested in stripping down for every role.

Speaking with Marie Claire U.K., the stunning 28-year-old actress explained that it was the excessive nudity, and a fear of being typecast, that caused her to turn down the lead role in Fifty Shades of Grey.

"I really wanted to work with [director] Sam Taylor-Johnson because she's f**king amazing. But there is a huge amount of nudity in the film," Clarke told Marie Claire U.K. "I'll never say, 'I'm never doing nudity,' because I've already done it, but I thought I might get stuck in a pigeonhole that I would have struggled to get out of."

Clarke shared a similar sentiment in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in March, where she said that she has "no regrets" about passing on the highly sexual role of Anastasia Steele.

After all, Fifty Shades wasn’t Clarke's only chance at transitioning from the small screen into major, big-budget films. Clarke stars in the upcoming summer blockbuster Terminator Genisys, playing the iconic role of Sarah Connor, a character popularized by Linda Hamilton in the franchise's first two installments.

Clarke also opened up about her role in the highly anticipated action epic, saying, "Those f**king guns are super heavy… You're running with them a lot of the time, and I needed to keep up with [and] be better than the boys. I needed to know what to do to have Arnold go: [adopting Schwarzenegger's famous accent] 'Very nice'. That was my goal."

Emilia Clarke isn't the only star who turned down a role in the erotic romance drama. The Longest Ride's Scott Eastwood said he was up for the part of Christian Grey (a role Jamie Dornan eventually played), but turned it down. Check out the video below to see why.
