Dylan O’Brien is ready for a major role in American Assassin.
The first look at Dylan O'Brien's role in the political action thriller was released by CBS Films on Monday, featuring the 25-year-old actor as counter-terrorism operative, Mitch Rapp.
In the snapshot, the Teen Wolf star looks fully transformed into Rapp, a fictional character from Vince Flynn's series of political thriller novels, who is a trained assassin tasked with protecting the U.S. from terrorist attacks.
American Assassin, O'Brien's first major film role since his serious accident on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure in March, pairs him with Hollywood heavyweights, Michael Keaton and Sanaa Lathan.
Keaton portrays Stan Hurley, a Cold War veteran responsible for training Rapp, while Lathan plays Irene Kennedy, whose character recruited Rapp to the CIA.
American Assassin is currently filming in Europe. The adaptation's storyline centers around Rapp and Hurley’s secret mission to stop another operative, played by Taylor Kitsch.
The film has no release date as of yet.
