"Alright, I know it's been awhile.. but I think I'm finally ready to do a Casper sequel," Sawa tweeted on Thursday before sending a message to Now and Then writer Marlene King.

"Hey @imarleneking, where we at on that 'Now and Then 2' script?," Sawa asked.

Sawa appeared to be serious about a Casper remake, tweeting Universal Pictures, "I'm ready to come back and do another Casper…yes the ghost!"

A fan jokingly responded that it was "too soon" to shoot a new version of Casper, which was released in 1995.

"I mean the first one only came out like 22 years ago," wrote the fan. "You can’t rush these kinds of things man."

Sawa replied, "True."

After a few tweets, Sawa apparently changed his mind.

"Actually I'm not ready for Casper 2 yet," he wrote. "Good night."

By Friday afternoon, he was seemingly over the idea of remaking both films.

"I should have said 'Little Giants,'" he wrote.

While Sawa could’ve easily been kidding around with the series of tweets, the timing might be perfect to be reunited with his Casper and Now and Then cast members.
