Who does TV's "Wonder Woman" think should star in the planned big-screen 'Wonder Woman' movie?
TV's original "Wonder Woman," LYNDA CARTER, recently stopped by the ET set to promote her all-new musical review and upcoming CD that she's recording.
In the late '70s, Lynda captured the attention and imagination of TV and comic book fans everywhere as the beloved DC Comics character, and now she weighs in on the new 'Wonder Woman' movie that's been languishing in development.
"I think [they should cast] an unknown," she tells ET's THEA ANDREWS. "And I think the problem that they're having is getting the right script and trying to find the right person at the right age. By the time they get the right script, maybe the person they were thinking about is now ten years older."
Several actresses have been rumored to be in consideration for the role since 2001, including frontrunner SANDRA BULLOCK, CATHERINE ZETA-JONES, MARIAH CAREY, CHARISMA CARPENTER and SOPHIA BUSH.
As for the plotline, Lynda says, "I think they need to tie the story of what happened to the old Wonder Woman into where the new one is. They could somehow bridge it, and let the baton be [passed along]."
'Die Hard' mega-action producer JOEL SILVER has been developing the script for quite some time. Most recently, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Firefly" creator JOSS WHEDON took a crack at the project, but ultimately left due to the classic "creative differences."
At this stage, a new writer and director have yet to be announced for the project.
