Janet Jackson Opens Up About Rocky Relationship With Her Father

In an all-new interview, Janet Jackson reveals what she was forced to call her father Joseph Jackson while growing up.

"One time I tried to call him dad," she says on Tuesday's episode of "Piers Morgan Tonight." "He said, 'No.' He said, 'I'm Joseph. You call me Joseph. I'm Joseph to you.'"

But Jackson says she no longer dwells on the fact that their relationship is less than she had hoped for.

"I used to," she says. "It would have been nice. I would go over to a friend's house when mother would let me go and I'd see my friends, the relationship with their father, how they call him dad and sit all in their lap."
