As talk of new music from Ciara continues to swirl, she was recently honored for her charitable work teaching young girls about safe sex at The Candie's Foundation 2011 Event To Prevent Benefit. However, the singer also has great advice about staying healthy. When it comes to working out she boasts putting in an hour five to six times a week in the gym. Of keeping her body in tip-top shape she says, "85 percent of it is what you eat, and 15 percent of it is how you work out." Instead of three meals a day, she usually goes for five or more meals when she's training intensely. And what does she cut out? She tells Women's Health, "No salt, low salt. It's strict, but when I follow those rules, I see results."
Hottest Spot: Rock Hard Calves
The impressive dance routines usually seen in her music videos usually feature her well-defined calf muscles. She shares, "Dancing--however you do it, even if it's in your living room--is a great workout." She was recently seen showing off those super-toned legs in a white flowing dress.
Guilty Pleasure: Cheesecake Factory
When she deviates from her strict diet, Ciara loves going to the Cheesecake Factory and enjoys choosing from their huge menu. Of cheating every once in a while she says, "Food is fun...I have moments when I want to eat pizza or a hamburger--I'm not going to drive myself crazy."
Favorite Sport: Track & Field
Though she says she had skinny legs in high school, she was an athlete who participated in track & field and also acted as a "base" on her cheerleading team. Of the experience she said, "there was a lot of lifting of other girls." She may now have a new favorite sport in basketball however, as her boyfriend Amar'e Stoudamire makes a living as an NBA player for the New York Knicks.
