Singer Amy Winehouse Found Dead

British singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London.

The singer was found in her north London apartment by emergency services around 3:54 PM local time on Saturday July 23, 2011. The London Ambulance Service that arrived on the scene was unable to save her life.

Police were called to the scene by London Ambulance Service following reports that a woman had been found dead. When police arrived they found the body of a 27-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of Winehouse's death is currently listed as "unexplained."

Winehouse was 27 years old.
