Popular '80s singers Tiffany and Debbie Gibson are joining forces for the first time when they hit the road this summer, and there was a full dose of nostalgia in the room as the two talked about their show and their inspirations from the '80s.
"The show is about celebrating the '80s, so it's music, music, and all music," Tiffany said. Debbie followed up with some words of her own. "She saw the '80s as Stevie Nicks and Guns and Roses," Debbie explained. "I saw the '80s as Michael Jackson and Madonna and Broadway. So there's a lot of differences.
Despite the differences, the two singing sensations plan on touring with a handful of dates that are still being worked out, with the first six currently on sale. They'll be performing their old hits as well as covering some of the songs that inspired them in that era.
With the tour almost in full swing, the girls seem to be busy bees as Tiffany is currently promoting her Rose Tattoo record while Debbie just finished filming her stint in Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" music video and a cameo appearance in the upcoming film, 'Rock of Ages.'
"I went down to do a cameo in 'Rock of Ages,' Debbie revealed. "I'm still recovering because it was night shoots."
