Paul Simon's September 11 Tribute

Paul Simon was born in Newark, NJ -- just over the Hudson River from New York City. This morning, to honor those who perished in the 9/11 attacks, he appeared at the Ground Zero memorial and performed a stirring rendition of the Simon & Garfunkel classic, Sound of Silence.
The lyrics, "Hello darkness, my old friend" were especially haunting given the crowd of victims' relatives and dignitaries who had gathered on the Twin Towers site.
