American Idol winner Scotty McCreery has become a bona fide star since his days on the singing competition. On Monday night the American Country Awards recognized Scotty's country star status.

The young crooner humbly accepted his guitar award for Artist of the Year, saying, "I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, he's the one that got me here ... and a big birthday shout out to my mom. It's her birthday today."
