American Idol winner Scotty McCreery has become a bona fide star since his days on the singing competition. On Monday night the American Country Awards recognized Scotty's country star status.
The young crooner humbly accepted his guitar award for Artist of the Year, saying, "I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, he's the one that got me here ... and a big birthday shout out to my mom. It's her birthday today."
Jason Aldean and country legend Toby Keith were also big winners of the night, taking home Artist of the Year and Artist of the Decade, respectively.
Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins squared off as competing co-hosts for the award show. Kristin made a grand entrance wearing a robe and boxing gloves, delivering a few light jabs to Trace's midsection.
Of course the fighting was just for show as Trace later embraced Kristin, the self-proclaimed "Four Feet of Fury", calling her someone that he always enjoys listening to.
Other notable awards included:

Album of the Year: My Kinda Party, Jason Aldean
Single of the Year: Voices, Chris Young
Music Video of the Year: Who Are You When I'm Not Looking, Blake Shelton
Touring Headline Package of the Year: Jason Aldean
