Etta James Released from Hospital
After nearly a month from being declared terminally ill, Etta James' longtime friend and manager says the singer has been released from a Southern California hospital.
According to the Associated Press, Lupe De Leon confirmed that James was released Thursday after the singer's condition improved enough for her to be taken off a breathing machine. She is now back at home with her family.
The At Last singer's doctor, Dr. Elaine James, had declared the singer's chronic leukemia incurable last month.
