LL Cool J: Grammys About 'Those Great Moments'

By

The 2012 Grammy Awards are just a little over two weeks away, and host LL Cool J tells ET, "It's about the great performances and those great moments. I think the thing that makes the Grammys amazing are those special moments."

"[I want to] let the performers and artists speak for themselves," the star told us behind the scenes while he was shooting his newest Grammys promo. "Because the show is not about me, it's about the Grammys and about the artists that are nominated, so I just want to have fun, just have a good time."

LL Cool J's gig marks the first time in seven years that the Grammys will have an official host, and it's no surprise, as the rapper and NCIS: Los Angeles star has hosted the live Grammy nominations concert show each year since 2008.

The 54th Grammy Awards will air Feb. 12 on CBS. Performers will include current Grammy nominees Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Coldplay.
