First Listen - Jon Secada's 'Your Voice Inside'

By

The best music always comes from an emotional place, but rarely has a musician tapped so deeply into their heart as Jon Secada does on his new song, Your Voice Inside. Although given his inspiration, it's no surprise the song is already being touted as one of 2012's best.

Hollywood's Newest Love

"Writing this song was very emotional for me on many levels. I only recently lost my father so it is still pretty new, but that raw emotion is part of what inspired my writing," Secada tells ETonline exclusively. "My father didn't talk about his chronic hepatitis C until the disease had progressed [and] before he passed, we talked about his disease and he wanted me to share his story with the hope of motivating others to talk to their doctor about their options and to not wait."

Secada has not only written an inspiring anthem, but also paired with the Tune in to Hep C campaign. "Since I joined the campaign, I have been amazed by the outpouring of support from the community and other people and families who have been impacted by chronic hepatitis C. I want the song to continue to help reach people; that would mean the world to me."

More Amazing Music

It's important for people to put a voice to Hep C because, as Secada says, "Chronic hepatitis C is often referred to as a silent disease because most people don't know they have it and don't realize that it could be damaging their liver."

"I will never know why my father never took action against his chronic hepatitis C, but I want others to learn from what happened to us and realize that they can do something about it. That's what I want people to take away from this song. Find your voice and use it to get help for yourself or your loved one before it is too late.
