Phillip Phillips' first post-Idol single, Home, was absolutely omnipresent in the months following his win as it became an Olympics anthem and the go-to song for all Silver Linings Playbook press.
Today, Phillips dropped the music video for his second single, Gone, Gone, Gone, and we're equally over the moon for it. While this endeavor undeniably has a more pop-friendly undercurrent, it continues to evoke his signature Mumford & Sons-esque emotions.
Like Home, Gone is also tailor-made for the advertising industry as I could see countless commercials scoring their visuals to Phillips' lyrics. Don't believe me? Check out the most ad-friendly lines and what company we'd pair them up with!
"When life leaves you high and dry/I'll be at your door tonight if you need help, if you need help." -State Farm
"And I would do it for you, for you/Baby I'm not moving on/I love you long after you're gone." -Chantix
"When you fall like a statue/I'm gon' be there to catch you/Put you on your feet, you on your feet." -The Red Cross
"You're my backbone, you're my cornerstone/You're my crutch when my legs stop moving/You're my head start, you're my rugged heart/You're the post that I've always needed" -Hallmark
