Berry Gordy, the mastermind behind Motown, will premiere the incredible, true story of his rise to fame this month on Broadway with Motown: The Musical, and ET has your exclusive look inside the showstopper starring Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon.
"There were times that I said, 'Damn, I wish I could have said it exactly like that'," the 83-year-old producer praised of Brandon, who plays a young and ambitious version of Berry amidst his discovery of Diana Ross and The Supremes in the '60s. "[Brandon] is phenomenal."
The living legend, who wrote the musical passion project featuring classic songs of the era, gave our Rocsi Diaz the royal tour alongside his talented doppelganger.

Motown: The Musical opens on Broadway on April 14, 2013. The show has been in preview since March 11, selling more than $1,000,000 in ticket sales for its first week.
