Blake: Hosting the ACMs Will 'Suck' without Reba

It'll be double the trouble when rowdy pals Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan host the Academy of Country Music Awards this Sunday.

ET caught up with half of the dynamic duo leading up to the big show as Blake taped a guest spot on ex co-host Reba McEntire's sitcom Malibu Country. While there's no doubt the Boys 'Round Here singer will have tons of fun onstage with his buddy April 7, Blake was resigned to believe the show will basically "suck" without Reba.

"[She's] such a rock that I always count on her to keep things where they need to be as far as timing and script stuff and everything," confessed the crooner, who relied on his older and wiser co-host to keep the show from going off the rails in 2011 and 2012. "This year with Luke, it's just going to suck."

Sunday will mark the first time Reba hasn't hosted festivities since 1999. Due to scheduling conflicts, she was unable to continue her streak but said she's glad to be enjoying the show from the comfort of her chair at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

"It's going to be a fun show watching those two together," said Reba, "I'll be heckling from the audience."
