"Why not tell it like it is," Stewart explains. "Everybody knows I've had two divorces."

Stewart first wed Alana Hamilton in 1979. He then went on to begin his sixteen-year marriage to Rachel Hunter in 1990 after his relationship with Hamilton crumbled in 1984.

The singer described his split from Hunter as "earth shattering," saying, "No one had ever left me, so I wasn't ready for it."

Today things are looking up for the happily married Stewart in the romance department. The singer counters his sad songs by paying homage to his wife Penny Lancaster in ballads like She Makes Me Happy.

"I hope so," Stewart, 68, said when asked if he thinks he's a good husband. "At my age if I haven't nailed it now, I never will."

Time drops tomorrow, May 7.
