Parachute - 'Overnight'

By TIFFANY TAYLOR

August 13, 2013

Five-piece, Virginia-based band pop/rock Parachute's third studio album Overnight is available today. While songs Can't Help and Overnight have a revamped more electronic, pop feel than Parachute's previous albums, the track Disappear is reminiscent of Parachute's signature sound that fans fell in love with on their sophomore album, The Way It Was. Track Meant To Be is a perfect example of Parachute's new and classic styles coming together, creating a piece of work that will please old fans and attract new ones. It seems as though Parachute hopes this album will catapult them to the mainstream radio success of similar bands like Maroon5 and OneRepublic. Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic's front man, even co-wrote multiple tracks on Overnight alongside Will Anderson, lead singer. The band kicks off their headlining summer tour with supporting acts Matt Hires and Paradise Fears tonight in New York City. For tour dates, go to weareparachute.com.
