New Music: The 3 Albums You Have To Buy This Week

By

1. MGMT - 'MGMT' (Columbia Records)

If the psychedelic band, MGMT, blew you away with the release of their single Alien Days back in April, this full album will be a constant repeat on your playlist. With Rolling Stone capitalizing the bands self-titled album opener, Alien Days, as a "shimmering, psychedelic soundscape," the nine other songs won't disappoint as you escape into great musical sounds. With their huge tour in Europe coming up for the fall, you won’t want to miss out! Click here for tour dates, and don't forget to download the album on iTunes.

2. Avicii - 'True' (Island Records)

Grabbing inspiration from all sorts of musical genres, Avicii has sure set his own personal voice and direction with his electronic musical sound. Being the face of Denim and Supply Ralph Lauren, and also an international hit on many club charts, we can't be too surprised that his first full album True is as highly anticipated as it is. President of Island Records, David Massey, says that this two time Grammy winner will, "transform the current landscape" of music, so make sure you give yourself a day off of work to fall in love with these sweet storytelling lyrics. Check it on iTunes.

3. Five for Fighting - 'Bookmarks' (Wind-Up Records)

With John Ondrasik already being admired for his two platinum albums Battle for Everything & America Town, his sixth studio album, Bookmarks, takes an even deeper venture into his piano-based sound. Best known to the world under his stage name Five for Fighting, this Grammy nominated artist has already taken the country by storm with his single What If!.
