Watch: Babyface Honored on the Walk of Fame

It's been a long time coming for ten-time Grammy Award winner Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, but on Thursday in Hollywood, California, the R&B great, 54, was finally honored with a star on the Walk of Fame.

From Usher to Diddy to L.A. Reid, the music industry's biggest heavyweights showed some serious love for their pal at the Hollywood Blvd unveiling.

"Everybody has a song or that moment when Kenny, or Babyface, really set the stage for what cool was," praised Usher at the gathering which drew a huge crowd. " Whip Appeal was my moment."

L.A. Reid, who moved to Los Angeles with the man of the hour to pursue a career in music, reminisced about the good old days, joking that he felt shared ownership of the plaque.

"I hope you'll understand it when I say this, but it feels like it's mine as well," said Reid. "Kenny and I moved to L.A. probably around 1983 or '84, not far from here, and we weren't doing that well, if you know what I mean, and so I'm proud because he's come so far."
