Taylor Swift on Why Polka Dots Make Her Happy

Taylor Swift recently wrapped the North American portion of her blockbuster RED tour and one of the hallmarks of her concerts was her cool sparkling Keds shoes worn during her shows. ET's Rocsi Diaz caught up with the Grammy-winning singer Friday in New York to discuss her latest footwear designs and to find out what drives her fascination with polka dots!

"All the things that I like to wear are pretty much incorporated in the fabric of the shoes," Taylor explained while showing off her new shoe styles. "I love to wear floral prints and lace prints and stripes and polka dots. All these things show up in the shoe line, so it's really exciting."

She goes on to explain that she still loves polka dots, especially during one part of the year. "In the summer I love polka dots, stripes, red lips, and then in the fall I like maroon, mustard, hunter green, navy blue, and kind of a smoky eye and nude lips."

The music star's Fall 2013 Keds collection consists of 17 styles in a new variety of prints, colors and finishes. From a pearl necklace polka dot print to a feminine lace overlay inspired by one of her favorite dresses, each shoe reflects a style statement unique to Taylor. Special charms are included with each shoe in one of two styles: a silver heart featuring Taylor's favorite number 13, or a guitar pick in antiqued brass with her logo inscribed in the middle.

Watch the video to hear Taylor give an update on her latest projects, including her musical involvement with the upcoming biopic One Chance, a film based on the true-life story of Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts that she wrote the song Sweeter Than Fiction for. The film opened last week in the UK and is set to hit U.S. theaters later this year.
