Selena Gomez Reflects on Meager Beginnings

Before becoming a successful actress and singer, Selena Gomez was living off meager means as she tried to make her stake in showbiz, which she reflects upon in a never-before-seen clip from the short film "City of Angels."

Gomez was one of the many Hollywood stars to be featured in Jared Leto's documentary "City of Angels," which was inspired by Leto's band, Thirty Seconds to Mars', single of the same name off their album Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams.

In the piece, she and celebrities from rapper Kanye West to actresses Lindsay Lohan and Olivia Wilde reflect on their experiences with the City of Los Angeles. Although she's now experienced fame and fortune in L.A., Gomez first experienced the city as young aspiring actress with a modest lifestyle.

"I moved from my biological father and I just moved with my mom and I lived with six other girls in a one-bedroom loft, so we had lots of air mattresses," she recounts.
