CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF BEATLEMANIA

By ZACH SEEMAYER

February 09, 2014

In 1964, The Beatles flew from London to New York City, and Beatlemania rocked the United States. Now, fifty years later, The Morrison Hotel Gallery is presenting an exhibit of photographs celebrating the historic occasion.

The photographs follow the meteoric rise of The Beatle's popularity in America, from their first landing and their very first performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, through their culture-changing musical adventure.

Julian Lennon, John Lennon's son, is curating the collection of rare Beatles images for the Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York City, where the show will run from February 7-28.

In this photo, The Beatles rehearse for their legendary performance on the Ed Sullivan show.
