Ryan Tedder and Beyonce may not have a ton in common, but the OneRepublic hitmaker is doing his best to channel the diva with the band's Native Summer tour.
"The bigger the crowds get, the bigger you get – the easier it becomes, the more fun it becomes, and the best concerts in the world are immersive and a full sensory experience," Tedder says in ET's exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their tour. "We're just trying to be as good as Beyonce."
Luckily for fans, both entertainers are on the road this summer. Up next for OneRepublic is a performance at New York's Rockefeller Plaza for the Today show on July 25, while their tour resumes in the states on June 30. For a full list of tour dates, click here.
If you've ever wanted to get backstage at a OneRepublic show, now's your chance. Check out ET's exclusive featurette in the player above to hear -- straight from Tedder -- how the show came together and to meet some of the tour's unsung heroes. Between the lighting and high-octane production, Tedder says he hopes to keep the fans "off balance the whole time."
OneRepublic is currently promoting their highest-charting album to date, Native, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (its lead single, "Counting Stars," peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 singles chart).
