Queen Bey will be presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The Bey-hive is buzzing this morning.

MTV announced on Thursday that Beyonce will be performing at this year’s Video Music Awards. Not only that, but Queen Bey will be the recipient of the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Of course we all remember Bey’s last time on the VMAs stage back in 2011, when she famously announced her pregnancy to the world during a performance of “Love on Top.” Who could forget the cameras cutting to Jay Z backstage, grinning from ear to ear and receiving a slap on the back from pal Kanye West?

Last year the Video Vanguard Award was presented to Justin Timberlake, who famously reunited with *NSYNC (albeit, very briefly) during his 15-minute medley performance. Other honorees have included Madonna, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Britney Spears.

Bey may already be a winner, but she’s also up for a whopping eight Moonmen this year.

Also performing at the August 24 awards show are Usher, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5.
