Charli XCX is going to the prom!

ETonline was with the UK-based singer as she hit a local Los Angeles high school to film her brand new music video, "Break the Rules." There's a tagged school bus, a gaggle of school girls and a prom scene, of course.

The complete video will hit the web next week, but ET is giving you an exclusive sneak peek now! Check it out in the player above.

"The video is kind of like a cross between my favorite movies and also my favorite photographs," Charli told ETonline's Sophie Schillaci. "From David LaChapelle's photograph of Marilyn Manson, to the movie The Craft, to Jawbreaker – I just wanted it to be very like, '90s movie classic."

Sound familiar? Charli famously parodied the 1995 classic Clueless with Iggy Azalea for their "Fancy" video. But this time, Charli's bringing her own edge to the process.

The 22-year-old describes "Break the Rules" as a "badass anthem for all the naughty people in the world," and to hear her tell it, she got a little naughty herself on set.

After inviting L.A.-based fans (nicknamed Angels – Charli's Angels, get it?) to join her for the video shoot, the 22-year-old worried that they might "hate" her afterwards.

"They're probably going to hate me after this video shoot, because I'm gonna do something really evil to them," she teased. "But it's happening to me, too."

We'll have to stay tuned for the big plot reveal next week, but in the meantime, find out what Charli wore to her own high school "disco" and which big name stars she worked with on her upcoming album, Sucker, out October 21. And don't miss Charli's performance live on Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards pre-show!

UPDATE: Charli unveiled the full "Break the Rules" video on Monday and it's amazing. Watch below.
